Mercy Mission Children's home

Mercy Mission Children's Home carries out the will of God in caring for the orphans of Nepal by providing a home, love, and hope to children who have never known the comfort of a stable environment.

The home currently cares for 60 children, ranging in age from 3-16. Many of our kids come from desperate situations and are true orphans. Others come from single parent homes where poverty has made their care all but impossible. Like you, all of them have hopes and dreams for the future.

Our children's home is funded through the generous support of our sponsors — individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable, abandoned, and orphaned children in Nepal.

Every sponsorship dollar is an investment in a child's future, affording him or her an opportunity to know Christ, receive an education, plenty of food, and a nice, warm bed. It also allows our children to be loved and cared for by our godly staff.

Mercy Mission Academy was started in 2014 to provide a quality Christian education for our children, as well as the poor children in the surrounding community. The local private schools our children had been attending kept increasing their tuition to the point that we could no longer afford to send our children there. We have also learned that even though there are a number of other private Christian schools in the area, we are the only one that teaches the Bible, which makes our school very desirable for other Christian orphanages.

We currently have 150 students, more than sixty of whom come from our children's home. The school has become a witness and testimony to the community and our Hindu neighbors. It served as a safe haven after the recent earthquakes, which helped our neighbors learn more about Mercy Mission and what we are doing. They were very impressed and offered their help to us whenever we need it!
